Elderly and disabled to receive final payment of 340,000 MNT

The Minister of Human Development and Social Welfare, S.Erdene, announced that elderly and disabled people in the country will receive the remaining 340,000 MNT from the one million MNT allocated to them from the Human Development fund from December 24.

The Ministry of Finance transferred the money to the city and local social welfare and public service funds from December 25th. The money is expected to be transferred to related commercial banks and branches shortly. According to Khaan and Khadgalamj banks, the banks will distribute the money to the qualifying citizens.

A payment of up to one million MNT from the Human Development Fund is being given to over 60-year men and over 55-year women in three batches. Elderly and disabled people chose to have the free allowance in cash and the rest of the population will receive one million MNT each in shares of state-owned enterprises. The first round of the free allowance was allocated last May.

The remaining payment of 340,000 MNT will be given this week according to M.Lkhagvasuren, the head of State Social Welfare Office, as reported by a local daily newspaper.
