Mongolia Attends the Global Sports Management Summit

An official of the government’s implementing agency for physical culture and sports, Ch.Naranbaatar and other Mongolian officials participated in the Global Sports Management Summit, which took place from April 29th to May 1st, in Taipei city of Taiwan.

Over 500 researchers and scientists gathered from 5 continents in the summit and they discussed about urgent issues faced by their own continents and shared their experiences.

It was discussed that people who are determining global sports direction need to work together more closely. Global Sports Management Association was established during that time and it was an important step toward working together on sports management and share experiences.

Chairman of physical culture and sports office Ch.Naranbaatar stated that “The 7th summit of the Asian Sports Management Association will be held in Ulaanbaatar in July, 2011”. He also introduced Mongolia and the sports scenario of the country to the audience.

Naranbaatar also invited Dr. James Jan from USA; the new president of Global Sports Management Association, to visit Mongolia.

During the summit, Mongolian representatives met with minister of Sports from Taiwan Thai Shia-Lin. Taiwanese side expressed their interest in cooperating with Mongolia and Mongolian side requested to send their staff for short and long term schools in Taiwan. Both sides accepted the request affirmatively.
