MEMORANDUM SIGNED BETWEEN MCC AND MONGOLIA
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed between the Ministry of Road, Transportation, Construction and Urban Development of Mongolia (MRTCUD) and a transport project of the Millennium Challenge Account-Mongolia (MCA) October 7. As expected, state organization's participation will improve in this project's realization and interrelations will refine thanks to the treaty.
The MOU has been inked by Minister of Road, Transportation, Construction and Urban Development, Kh. Battulga and by S.Bayarbaatar, Executive Director of the Millennium Challenge Account-Mongolia (MCA). Present at the ceremony were authority of the Ministry, P.Batsaikhan, the project director, and Robert Reid, the Millennium Challenge Corporation's Resident Country Director.
In frames of the transport project, a 176.4 km paved road is to run between Sainshand, Choir and 35th railroad junction, also 17.5 km--between the city and its district Nalaikh, and a Bayanzurkh new bridge. Other planned works are to improve skills of transport sector administration and staffers, and to give a technical assistance to auto road repair companies.
