Premier meets EBRD's managing director

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ On Wednesday, the Prime Minister S.Batbold received Mr. Olivier Descamps, a Managing Director for Turkey, Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). They have discussed issues of the ties and collaboration between Mongolia and the EBRD.

Mr. Descamps has said reputation of Mongolia has grown thanks to putting the Oyu Tolgoi and Tavan Tolgoi mineral deposits into economic circulation. The Premier has noted in his turn that Mongolia has become one of the EBRD's member-countries who has a right to receive credit by increasing its rating, adding that investments of USD 360 million granted from the EBRD have been made to the private sector and mining.

Mr. Descamps has mentioned that Mongolia's government has an aspiration to make a reform, and expressed his satisfaction with the bilateral collaboration and with financial and tax environment in Mongolia. According to him, the EBRD intends to make investments to Mongolia in the sectors of tourism, production of medicine and communication.
