World University Taekwondo Championships kick off in North China
World University Taekwondo Championships kicked off Saturday in Hohhot, capital of north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
More than 300 players from 34 countries and regions including the United States, France, Turkey, Mexico, Australia and China will be contesting in 31 individual and team divisions.
The World University Taekwondo Championships, which were inaugurated in 1990, are held every two years.
The International University Sports Federation (FISU) has decided that taekwondo will be featured as a compulsory event in the Summer Universiade since 2015. Endi
