Deputy PM about Naadam preparation
Ulaanbaatar,
June 23 (MONTSAME) At the "Hours of Construction" meeting on Monday,
the Deputy Prime Minister D.Terbishdagva informed journalists about the
preparation for the Naadam festival (July 11-13).
Within a
continuing reconstruction of the festival's horse-racing area "Khui Doloon
Khudag", a Mongol Naadam center’, parking for 500 vehicles will be built,
along with added WCs and sidewalks, he said. During the festival, a rail bus
will carry passengers from the Amgalan station to Davaa station near the
horse-race area and vice versa five times a day, and Mongolia-made eco-buses
will take commuters from Davaa station to the race arena.
Another great
reconstruction will take place in the Central stadium, where the opening and
closing ceremonies and main two events of traditional wrestling and archery are
held. Seats in the stadium will be fully replaced this year, the installation
will begin Tuesday, he explained.
This year,
cultural and entertainment events lining up with the festival will be organized
with greater enthusiasm, he promised.
N.Korean tourism delegation visits
Ulaanbaatar,
June 23 (MONTSAME) A North Korean delegation led by vice Director-General of
the National Tourism Administration Mun Tae Gil are paying a working visit to
Mongolia these days.
After arriving
in Ulaanbaatar on June 20, the delegation attended a workshop themed
"Mongolia’s tourism development tendency and policies".
Minister for
Culture, Sport and Tourism Ts.Oyungerel received Monday the delegation to share
opinions on enhancing a joint works in the tourism. The meeting was followed by
a meeting of the N.Koreans with Deputy Foreign Minister D.Gankhuyag.
Making trips to
main tourist destinations of our country, the delegation will introduce their
tourism investment policies to the Mongolian private sector, and will visit the
Finance and Economics Institute to speak about joint staff preparation.
The visit
follows a state visit of the President Ts.Elbegdorj to North Korea last year,
and aims at getting better perception about the tourism policies of Mongolia,
developing a cooperation between the two countries, and experience-sharing on
the tourism matters.
Vice Speaker meets with Ms Matviyenko
Ulaanbaatar,
June 23 (MONTSAME) With the official visit here, the Chairwoman of the Federal
Council of the Russian Federation Ms Valentina Matviyenko received Monday Mr
M.Enkhbold, a Vice Speaker of the State Great Khural (parliament) and chairman
of the Mongolian People’s Party (MPP).
Mr Enkhbold
thanked Ms Matviyenko and accompanying her delegation for visiting Mongolia and
underlined that the two countries have been maintaining their friendly
relations for a long time.
In turn, Ms
Matviyenko hoped that her visit will significantly contribute to fruitfully continuing
the bilateral relations and cooperation, and emphasized an importance of
activating the economic and business cooperation.
She also said
that, as a member of the Board of the “United Russia” leading party at Russian
parliament, she attached a great importance to the meeting with the MPP
chairman, and added that she will pay great attention to realizing the issues
discussed. Then she proposed host a meeting of the two parties' leaders in
Moscow.
Present at the
meeting was Ms D.Oyunkhorol MP, a deputy chairwoman of the MPP faction.
Stock exchange news for June 23
Ulaanbaatar,
June 23 (MONTSAME) At the Stock Exchange trades held Monday, a total of 249
thousand and 356 shares of 14 JSCs were traded costing MNT 62 million 689
thousand and 760.00.
"Silikat”
/246 thousand and 121 units/, "Hermes center" /1,467 units/,
"Genco tour bureau” /772 units/, "E-trans logistics" /345 units/
and "Aduunchuluun” /250 units/ were the most actively traded in terms of
trading volume, in terms of trading value--"Silikat” (MNT 55 million 377
thousand and 225), "Suu" (MNT four million and 116 thousand), "Talkh
chikher” (MNT one million 306 thousand and 230), "Darkhan nekhii” (MNT 722
thousand and 200) and "Aduunchuluun” (MNT 443 thousand and 645).
The total
market capitalization was set at MNT one trillion 550 billion 157 million 875
thousand and 488. The Index of Top-20 JSCs was 15,333.37, decreasing by MNT
87.58 or 0.57% against the previous day.
