Kh.Temuujin introduces the innovation policy in legal department
In accordance with the tradition of the Ministers of the Government of Innovation and Reform to hold an open conference regarding issues of their relevant departments, Justice Minister Kh.Temuujin gave expanded information on the innovations in the legal department and answered questions from journalists.
Last year, laws on improving the legal environment of the courts, judges, and lawyers were adopted. But now an arrangement is needed to develop the relations, rights, and obligations of law enforcement officials, according to Kh.Temuujin during the event. Law and justice is the one of three departments where the benefits of innovation can only be seen after a long time. The Justice Minister also said that the conditions required to conduct the right operations will be created once 36 laws in this department are amended. He deems that a citizen-friendly legal system will be established once current laws are evaluated and updated. He also added that the enforcement of these laws will protect citizens instead of scare them.
Today, over 420 laws are in force in Mongolia and 196 of them are provisions that indicate the penalties for violations.
