Indonesian Embassy in Beijing and China ASEAN Business Council Strengthen Indonesia-China Cooperation on Economic Promotion

Beijing – A meeting between Indonesian Ambassador to China and Mongolia Imron Cotan and Secretary General of China ASEAN Business Council(CABC) was held at the council’s secretariat in Beijing on March 22, 2013. The meeting aimed to discuss Indonesia-China bilateral cooperation on integrated promotional plan in economy, trade, investment and tourism. Both parties agreed, among other things, to continue to maintain the momentum of increasing trade volume between Indonesia and China and to avoid continuous unilateral deficits, increase the amount of Chinese investment into Indonesia, and pursue the target achievement of 1 million Chinese tourists visiting Indonesia in 2013. To achieve the agreed objectives, the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing and the China ASEAN Business Council CABC will coordinate the implementation of integrated promotional activities and invite more players as well as increase cooperation among business associations in both countries. The coordinately and jointly implemented activities are expected to further streamline the administration and increase the presence of Chinese firms and investors in Indonesia. The two parties also agreed among others, to jointly organize Indonesian Investment Marketing (MII) and the parallel CABC Investment Forum on July 3, 2013 in Beijing and invite chairman and board of management of business and industry associations to promote cooperation among associations.//Press Release KBRI Beijing
PPI Netherlands Holds Public Discussion on Qualified Democracy

PPI Netherlands Holds Public Discussion on Qualified Democracy
Indonesian Students Association – PPI Netherlands in collaboration with Indonesian Embassy in The Hague and Ministry of Information and Communication hold a public discussion titled “Qualified Democracy” on Saturday, March 23rd, 2013 in The Hague. Chairman of the Netherland association’s Department Communication and Information, Ryvo Octaviano, as quoted by ANTARA, Friday said this event was also part of the annual event at the Indonesian Embassy in Netherland, namely Indonesian Night Market. This discussion feature several keynote speakers who are representatives of political parties in Indonesia, among others M. Sohibul Iman of prosperous Justice Party (PKS), Burhan Aziz of Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P), and Enggriasto Lukita of National Democrat (Nasdem), with Panelists Firmanzah and Freddy H. Tulung. The discussion is expected to be a place for rehearsal as well as socializing 2014 election for Indonesian people in Netherlands.
