Mongolia, Kuwait discuss cooperation in auditing

ULAN BATOR, Jul 05, 2010 (Xinhua via COMTEX) -- Mongolian parliamentary speaker Demberel Damdin and visiting Kuwaiti State Audit Bureau President Abdulaziz Al-Adsani Monday discussed cooperation in auditing.

Al-Adsani was leading a Kuwaiti delegation to Mongolia, the Mongolian parliament said in a press release.
"Mongolia's experience with current auditing practices is limited, as the country shifted to market economy not long ago.

We are happy to learn from the auditing experiences of your country," Demberel said.
Kuwait is ready to help train Mongolian auditing specialists and cooperate with its Mongolian counterparts, Al-Adsani said.

During the meeting, Demberel also thanked Kuwait for its assistance to Mongolia, especially in infrastructure.
Al-Adsani asked the Mongolian side to speed up its decision on where to build the new parliamentary building using fund pledged by Kuwait.

Kuwait pledged 12 million U.S. dollars in 2006 for Mongolia to build a new parliamentary building. Mongolia has yet to decide the location of the building and the pledged fund has not been utilized.
