STATE SECRETARY MEETS AUSTRALIAN AMBASSADOR

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar received on Wednesday, September 7 Mr. Sam Gerovich, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia to Mongolia. At the meeting, Mr. Gerovich reported the government of Australia has made decisions to grant scholarships to up to 38 Mongolian students a year and to augment size of non-refundable aid for Mongolia by 12 million Australian dollars or about 30 per cent. The State Secretary mentioned that a decision of Australia of opening the Consulate in Ulaanbaatar, and underlined it would significantly contribute towards expanding the bilateral relations. They also shared views on the bilateral cooperation matters realized within the United Nations and other international organizations.
