Mongolian delegation attends meeting on international security

An international meeting of high-ranking security officials from 51 nations took place in Yekaterinburg, Russia on September 21 and 22.

Delegates discussed how international cooperation can solve security problems, fight racial and religious extremism, ensure food safety, and make information more secure. After the meeting the delegates issued a joint statement.

Ts.Enkhtuvshin, the secretary of the National Security Council of Mongolia, took part in the meeting. He and N.P. Patrushev signed a memorandum of cooperation between the Mongolian and Russian security councils.

Enkhtuvshin also met with the heads of the Indonesian, French, Russian, Polish, Israeli, and Vietnamese delegations to discuss areas of mutual concern and future cooperation on security issues.

The Mongolian delegates also paid a visit to the Mongolian consulate in Yekaterinburg, and discussed increasing cooperation with officials from the Urals State University of Mines.
