MONGOL BANK PRESIDENT ATTENDS ANNUAL MEETINGS OF IMF AND WB
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The president of the Bank of Mongolia (BM) L.Purevdorj; and director of the Currency Policy and Research Department of the BM D.Boldbaatar participated in the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group ran September 23-25 in Washington D.C, USA.
This year's meetings focused indefinite conditions created at the international economic environment due to financial market crisis in highly-developed countries. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank (WB) underlined that today the global economic growth is being determined by the economics of developing countries.
The Mongolian delegates held meetings with officials of the WB, IMF and other financial and banking organizations.
On September 24, a cooperation contract between the Central Banks of Mongolia and Turkey was signed by L.Purevdorj and Dr. Erdem Baski, the president of the Central Bank of Turkey. In frames of the document, the sides will share experience and information on banking and financial matters and will prepare staffers and render technical assistance.
