SPEAKER RECEIVES JAPAN'S AMBASSADOR

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Parliament Speaker received Wednesday Mr. Kidokoro Takuo, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia, in conjunction with completion of his diplomatic mission.

Mentioning that Mr. Kidokoro worked as the Ambassador in Mongolia for over two year, D.Demberel underlined Mongolia appreciated the Ambassador's endeavor to widen the Mongolia-Japan relations and cooperation, and then congratulated him on being awarded with the North Star Order.

The Speaker noted the inter-parliamentary ties and collaboration have significantly contributed to the bilateral relations. He said parliament thanked the Ambassador for contributions towards the inter-parliamentary relations.

The Speaker pointed out an agreement on development of the Strategic partnership relations established last year was a vital step for the two countries, adding that the economic ties and collaboration is one of the pillars of the strategic relations. “Our countries made a start of talks on establishing the bilateral economic partnership within office term of the Ambassador,” D.Demberel stressed.

D.Demberel said Mongolia has aspirations to realize contents of the joint statement on developing the strategic partnership relations and to intensify the bilateral economic cooperation in the fields of mining, infrastructure, energy and agriculture. He also mentioned about the 40th anniversary of the diplomatic relations to be celebrated next year, and then appreciated the Ambassador's efforts for widening the relations and cooperation.

In turn, Mr. Kidokoro thanked the Speaker for an audience, and noted that Japan sincerely thanked Mongolia for rendering assistance during the natural disaster occurred on March of this year.
