Autumn session of Parliament to begin October 3

The head of Parliament’s Office, Ts.Sharavdorj, tells the newspaper Uls Turiin Toim that the Speaker’s Council met on Thursday and decided to open the autumn session at 11 on the morning of Monday, October 3. The council also drafted the agenda for the session.

Altogether 19 items have been listed on the agenda, including the draft laws that have been discussed and submitted to Parliament. The council could still make changes to the agenda. The first items on the agenda are a draft law on companies, a draft budget proposal, and a draft law on the next election.

The MPP and DP groups in Parliament postponed their scheduled meeting. The Standing Committees will meet, and working groups on election law amendments and Constitutional amendments will meet before the session begins.

Parliament will hold a special session on October 13 for German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who will deliver an address.
