PRESIDENT LEGS JOINT MILITARY EXERCISE

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ On Thursday, September 8, the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Mongolian Armed Forces Ts.Elbegdorj got acquainted with the course of the "Selenge-2011" Mongolia-Russia joint military field exercise that is going at the Tavatolgoi military training arena. A report on the field exercise combating against terrorism has been given to the Commander-in-Chief by Major-General D.Bayarmagnai, deputy head of the General Headquarters of Mongolian Armed Forces (GHMAF). From the both sides, about 950 servicemen including mixed divisions with a company of vehicular troops and with other facilities are being involved in the exercise under a demonstration purpose to fight against armed groups of illegal trade of drugs. Major-General D.Bayarmagnai noted the joint field exercise has a significant contribution towards realizing the agreements between the countries, supporting joint exercises of the Armed Forces and strengthening the friendship of military bodies.
