Directors of 100 schools and kindergartens to be dismissed

Ulaanbaatar Administrative Council finally initiated the new rule to use a selection list to choose the candidates for the directors’ post for schools and kindergartens in the City on Monday.

The Administrative Council believes the selection of the candidates was conducted unfairly. This is because directors of 64 schools and kindergartens were expected to be appointed without a selection process.

However the City Education Authority do announce a selection between candidates for the post of directors but the appointment is not made according to this selection.

In accordance with the old rules, the district governor did not have to announce vacancy notice for a post of schools and kindergartens to the City Education Authority.

The new rule regulates this so that the City Education Authority conducts a selection for the posts in schools and kindergartens and the district governors must confirm the appointments.

The new requirements also regulates the replacement and new appointments for a post of retired directors above the age of 60.

The new selection for the posts in schools and kindergartens will be run next month.

Due to the new regulations directors of 27 schools and 64 kindergartens will be dismissed.
