Oyu Tolgoi LLC begins workers’ training on September 1
The Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Oyu Tolgoi LLC on providing training to around 2,500 people who will work in the mines to begin operation in about three years from now. The first phase of the training starts on September 1 and will offer 10 courses in different areas of work for altogether 1,000 people. The training will be held at different centers in Nalaikh, Darkhan, Dornod, Govisumber, Dornogovi, Umnugovi, Selenge, and Khovd.
Intending trainees have to be over 24, and must have completed secondary school. The company will bear all costs of the training. Those who pass the course with credit will be given priority when jobs are offered in Oyu Tolgoi.
