GERMANY'S MINISTER FOR ECONOMIC COOPERATION TO VISIT
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A delegation led by Mr. Dirk Niebel, the Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) will pay a visit to Mongolia from August 19 to August 23, 2010. The German Minister will be accompanied by members of the Bundestag--Mrs. Christel Happach- Kasan, Mr. H.Haibach, Mrs. Ute Kumpf and other officials.
The FRG is the main partner of Mongolia in Europe. Also, the FRG has been supporting the democratic reform of Mongolia and rendering various assistances. In 1991-2010, the FRG's government rendered aid of over EUR 290 million to Mongolia. It means that German is ranked at 2nd place among donor countries for Mongolia to render assistance. By the way, the Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development works in charge of official developmental aid rendering to foreign countries.
In frames of the visit, Mr Dirk Niebel will be received by the Prime Minister of Mongolia. The Germany's delegation also will meet with G.Zandanshatar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and D.Zorigt, the Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy to share views on the bilateral cooperation.
It is considered that the upcoming visit of the Germany's Minister has a significant contribution to bringing the bilateral policy cooperation into a newer level.
