Government clears through to establish “Sainshand” Industrial Complex

The Cabinet Meeting was held last Wednesday to start building Industrial Complex area at Sainshand and intensify its activities.
Therefore, it established Committee on Establishing “Sainshand” Industrial Complex and appointed Prime Minister S.Batbold as its Chairman and First Deputy Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag as the Vice Chairman.
Copper refinery (smelting) factory, coke – chemistry, construction material and coal-chemistry  factories will be built at Sainshand Industrial Complex area, which will play crucial role in the development of the Mongolian economy. Also, infrastructure, airfield, terminal and other accompanying small, medium light industries will be developed at the Complex area.

As our readers may have known that the Government decided to realize the major strategically important deposit into economy, therefore, Oyu Tolgoi and Tavan Tolgoi are included in the plan. In accordance with these deposits, the Government resolved to develop Tavan Tolgoi – Sainshand – Choibaalsan railway, Shivee Ovoo, Tavan Tolgoi power plants, roads, transportation networks, funded by the state budget, foreign loan, aid, and other sources.
