International conference of lawyers held in Ulaanbaatar

An international conference of lawyers is being held at the Government House. Lawyers from Russia, Japan, Germany, South Korea, the United States, and Mongolia are taking part. The President’s Office, the Standing Committee on Justice, and the Mongolian Advocates Union organized the conference.

A survey says 18,000 people have studied law in Mongolia, more than 5,000 of whom are currently practicing. Lawyers are still needed for criminal, administrative, and civil cases in Mongolia.
The delegates are discussing ways to improve the skills and morale of lawyers, as well as ways to meet the demand for lawyers in Mongolia.
