Royal Windsor Horse Show starts tomorrow

More than 100 showing classes are set to be enjoyed by spectators at this year's Royal Windsor Horse Show, which begins tomorrow.

The international event, which runs at Home Park in the grounds of Windsor Castle until Sunday, will also feature displays from The Household Cavalry and The King's Troop, competitions such as The Shetland Pony Grand National, and military contests.

London Olympic gold medalists Charlotte Dujardin, Carl Hester, Nick Skelton and Peter Charles are also on the bill, as well as Blue Peter presenters

Admission is free on the opening day, dubbed Windsor Wednesday. See the full programme for the day below. For programmes for the rest of the week, click here.

Children are also admitted free on Thursday and Friday.

The show has a brand new look 'shopping village' with over 200 outlets offering thousands of products. There are over 130 equestrian competitions taking place during the five-day extravaganza, as well as outstanding equestrian displays.

Attractions also include a display of ancient artefacts from Mongolia, an old fashioned funfair, plus the Land Rover Experience - a purpose course which tests the vehicles to their limit - all in the grounds of the castle.

Over 40,000 visitors are expected. Tickets are available on www.rwhs.co.uk or 0844 581 4960.

See Friday's Express for photos from the show.
