Mongolian hot pot restaurant opens Friday
The Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot restaurant chain will open its first Hawaii location Friday at Ward Center.
The restaurant, above Bed Bath & Beyond, will open at 6:30 p.m. offering family-style, made-to-share menu items, incorporating diners' choices of soup bases, meats, vegetables and house-made noodles, which diners then cook at the hot-pot fitted tables, nabe-style.
The first Little Sheep restaurant opened in 1999 in Baotou, Inner Mongolia, China, and the company has grown to more than 300 locations in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Canada, and the mainland.
Following the grand opening the restaurant's hours of operation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday, and from 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Sundays.
