Gov. Daugaard meeting with Asian leaders to increase trade
Governor Daugaard is in Asia this week, working to expand South Dakota's export markets.
He met with Ba Teer, the Governor of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, yesterday to discuss the possibility of increasing trade between South Dakota and Inner Mongolia.
This is Daugaard's third trip to China. In the past, federal grants have covered most of the expenses. This time, the state will pay for up to 30 percent of costs of the companies joining Daugaard and the seven state staffers, including some from the Governor's Office of Economic Development and the Department of Agriculture.
