Asia Frontier Capital hires analyst for Southeast Asia, Mongolia
Asia Frontier Capital (AFC), a Hong Kong-based fund management company that specialises in investing in Asian frontier markets, has hired Scott Osheroff from Pathfinder Capital Management as a research analyst for Southeast Asia and Mongolia.
Osheroff, who joined AFC on May 1, will be based in Phnom Penh for nine months of each year and spend the remaining three months in Mongolia.
Osheroff’s job with Pathfinder also took him to Southeast Asia and Mongolia. He supported the launch of the company’s Frontier Liquidity Fund and conducted due diligence on private investments in agriculture and the renewable energy sector during his one-year stint with the firm, AFC said in a statement.
Earlier on, Osheroff co-founded a publishing company whose principal asset, EmergingFrontiers.com, was leveraged to provide coverage on public and private investments in Asia’s frontier markets.
AFC, which invests via its AFC Asia Frontier Fund and AFC Vietnam Fund, operates in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Iraq, Laos, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam.
