Officials revise Ulaanbaatar city budget

The seventh meeting of the Ulaanbaatar Civil Representatives Assembly was held on Thursday to discuss the final tally for the city’s 2010 budget, and to revise the 2011 budget.

Mayor G.Munkhbayar said Ulaanbaatar Administration collected MNT 138.7 billion for the city budget and MNT 56.1 billion for the state budget in 2010. The city’s expenses in 2010 were MNT 81.6 billion.

He said the 2011 budget needs to be revised to reflect growing expenses, job growth, and growing demand for city services. He said 2011 budget income has not been accounted yet. The assembly voted to increase the 2011 budget by MNT 31.1 billion.

Members also discussed amendments to the local settlements’ property concession lists. 45 items on the list involving public-private cooperation were amended, because some properties have been removed from the list and some concessions needed to be changed.
