MPP to hold conference

The MPP’s managing council met on Wednesday to discuss the draft election law and to organize a conference.

The MPP has proposed increasing the number of electoral districts from 26 to 48, while the DP has suggested keeping the number at 26 but changing the way some MPs are elected.

MPP managing officials decided to hold a conference on November 28. MPP Chairman and Prime Minister S.Batbold will lead the conference, and Ya.Sodbaatar will lead a working group to prepare an election program. The working group will have three councils: a general council headed by S.Bayar; a state structure and legislation council headed by L.Lundeejantsan; and an agriculture, nature, and economics council headed by M.Enkhbold.
