MONGOLIA-KAZAKHSTAN CONSULTATIVE MEETING HELD

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ All the questions and problems regarding the dual citizenship must be avoided, decided the 5th Mongolia-Kazakhstan consular consultative meeting. It took place on October 27-28 in Astana, Kazakhstan, co-chaired by D.Gankhuyag, a director of the Consular Department of Mongolia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and by Yryskali Rakymuli Daurenbek, a director of the Consular Department of Kazakhstan's Ministry. The two sides touched upon a realization of agreements made at the previous meeting and discussed a further collaboration. The sides agreed to initial an agreement on simplifying a process of leaving a citizenship, which aimed to build a legal environment for protection of interests of Mongolian and Kazakh people, and to create a document on regularly exchanging information in order to cease the dual-citizenship-related difficulties. The sides shared views on establishing an agreement on exchanging convicts, agreed to make a document on mutually recognizing the educational diplomas and to support related bodies in making direct flights between the tow countries. In accordance with a mutual decision, a Mongolia-Kazakhstan working group will meet to consider the dual citizenship issues. After the meeting, the Executive Secretary of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Zhoshibayev received the Mongolian delegation to share views on the relations and cooperation. Present at this meeting was Kh.Ayurzana, the Ambassador of Mongolia to Kazakhstan.
