Government passes measure to improve professional training

At the Government meeting on Wednesday, members passed a protocol to improve professional training.

Specifically the protocol calls for training more professional workers; improving the skills of teachers in professional training centers; addressing the problems those teachers face; training soldiers in professional training schools; providing jobs to soldiers after the leave the military; and the implementation of relevant programs and projects.

Defense Minister L.Bold and Education, Culture and Science Minister Yo.Otgonbayar have been asked to generate ideas for implementing the protocol.

The protocol also calls for improving coordination between training centers and the private sector, improving the facilities of training centers, and purchasing new equipment for the centers.

Minister Yo.Otgonbayar told journalists that implementation of the protocol will improve the quality of training centers and prepare more professional workers to meet the country’s demands.

The number of students in professional training centers has been increasing due to Government support and the demands of the Oyutolgoi project. Young people are realizing that the training makes it easier for them to find jobs after graduation and that they could even earn more than the graduates of institutes and universities, the minister added.
