“City of Astana Days” to be held in Ulaanbaatar
The head of the Ulaanbaatar Mayor’s Office, Ts.Boldsaikhan, received delegates from Astana, Kazakhstan last Friday. Astana’s mayor has asked the Mongolian Ambassador to Kazakhstan to organize cultural events in Ulaanbaatar and has delivered an invitation for the Ulaanbaatar mayor to visit Astana.
The Astana delegates proposed organizing a cultural festival in September 2012, and, after discussion, the two sides agreed to organize a festival and a business forum. Further plans will be made after the two mayors sign documents of cooperation.
Ulaanbaatar Mayor G.Munkhbayar received the invitation and plans to visit Astana in February 2012, and sent his suggestion that the two cities cooperate to the mayor of Astana.
Ts.Boldsaikhan stated that the Mayor’s Office could establish a working group to prepare for the “City of Astana Days” festival.
Ulaanbaatar has cooperative agreements with 50 cities worldwide.
