Let's Choose Development Path for Mongolia 2015-2016 voting initiated by
Government of Mongolia is collecting votes through SMS to special number.
By 3PM of the
first day of the voting total of 1,669,756 users have been approached and
36,967 votes have been submitted.
Voting SMS is
being sent to the citizens in batches. Votes of some of the residents who have
sent their votes prior to the SMS received, their votes are eligible as well
and their second votes won't be eligible as the first vote will count. Voting
will continue until 10PM February 3rd.
Mongolian
Citizens are to vote whether the country should develop its bigger projects
such as OT vote 1, or whether the country should choose saving on its
expenditures and stabilize the exchange rates vote 2. The voting should be sent
to15151111 special number through cell phone.

Minister
of Foreign Affairs focuses on trade issues of two neighbour countries

(news.mn) Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia L.Purevsuren, Head of the
Russian-Mongolian Government Commission, has met with representatives of the
biggest Russian energy company to discuss trade.
Bilateral
relations with Mongolia's two neighboring countries are the responsibility of
the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia. Minister L.Purevsuren met with
representatives of Russian energy company ESN Group, led by President Grigori
Berezkin, and exchanged views regarding trade and the economic relationship of
the two countries, and investment possibilities in Mongolia.
The Minister of
Foreign Affairs said that he aims to pursue equal cooperation with both Russia
and China, but the Russian side stressed that 2014's foreign trade balance with
Mongolia was unequal and too one-sided. Looking back at the last year, according
to the foreign trade balance, 91.7 percent of total exports went to China and
only 0.9 percent to Russia.
During the
visit to Mongolia, the representatives of ESN Group also plan to meet with the
Prime Minister of Mongolia and several Members of Parliament.
ESN Group plays
an important role in petroleum and energy production in Russia and supplies
energy for the railway networks of Russian Railway Company.

life in Mongolia interviewed by Allyson Seaborn, Australian journalist and
lawyer.

English for overseas viewers and for English speakers living in Mongolia.

deliver the next episodes. The guest is outspoken, passionate and sometimes
controversial E.Tseren, hails from Mongolian Bayankhongor province. She is an
artist, mother, wife and explorer of remote destinations.
In the early
90s, she and his Dutch husband Rick set up "Tseren Tours". Today,
"Tseren Tours" is leading UB based company specializing in adventure
tours.
Recently, she
became the winner of Fjällräven Polar, which is an approximately 300km long
winter adventure across the arctic tundra on a dog sled to take place in April.

International Master won gold medal from "Winter World Masters Game"

(gogo.mn) "Winter World Masters Games" for veteran athletes have
started on 1st of January in Quebec city, Canada.
The first
"Winter World Masters Games" was organized in 1985. This year, about
3000 athletes from 22 countries are competing.
Mongolian
national team showed successful result in marathon skating category.
27th National
Champion of skating, International Master L.Altantsetseg received two gold
medals in 500m and 1500m at marathon skating category.
Besides, 15th
National Champion, International Master N.Erdenetuya won two bronze medals
in marathon skating category.

Mongolian
twins won gold and silver medals from "Hakuho Cup"

(gogo.mn) (TOKYO, JAPAN) Mongolian twins wrestled successfully in "Hakuho
Cup" after M.Davaajargal, 69th Yokozuna.
This year,
about 800 children had involved in the competition.
Twins from
Uvurkhangai aimag, E.Javkhlantugs and E.Bayarjavkhlan received gold and silver
medals at their age category.
Last
year, E.Bayarjavkhlan had won bronze medal.

P.Orkhon
won silver medal at "Grand Prix of Paris 2015"

(gogo.mn) Wrestlers from Algeria, Great Britain, Austria, USA, Belguim, PRC,
Brazil, Iran, Canada, Colombia, Kyrgyzstan and Russia are competing at the
Wrestling Grand Prix competition in Paris.
At the first
round, E.Narangerel defeated Julie Sabatie (FRA) with 10:0 points
at 48kgfemale category and was defeated by Iwona Matkowska (POL) with
0:10 points at the second round.
At the
wrestling match for bronze medal in 55kg female category, P.Orkhon
won Szimonetta Jager (HUN) with 10:4 points securing for herself Bronze
medal.
State honored
athlete S.Tserenchimed hadn`t wrestled yesterday due to injury.

Farmers
to Receive Monetary Reward of 70,000 MNT per ton from This Week

(infomongolia.com) At the Cabinet meeting held last Monday, January 26, it was
resolved to allocate a monetary reward of 70,000 MNT (Tugrug) per ton to
individuals, entities or organizations who supplied a standard quality wheat to
the Agriculture Production Supporting Fund (Crop Production Supporting Fund)
and mill houses.
Accordingly,
the Ministry of Food and Agriculture issued a Resolution No. A/11 on January
29, 2015, that states to allocate a total of 25 billion MNT to 908 entities and
individuals, which will be distributing from this week.
In 2014, the
Fund purchased a ton of standard quality wheat for a maximum of 550,000 MNT
depending on its adhesive quality and government allocates an additional 70,000
MNT per ton. Such monetary reward has been allocated since 2009 and until 2011
it was set 50,000 MNT per ton, where 100,000 MNT in 2012-2013 that aims to
support national manufacture and supply domestic mill houses with quality products
that caused to increase an average quintal or centner (100 kg) up to 13.2-16.9
ql/t.
In 2014,
Mongolia collected a total of 518.7 thousand tons of crop from 315.8 thousand
ha, of which 489 thousand tons of wheat, 164.0 thousand tons of potato, 102.5
thousand tons of other vegetables, 51.7 thousand tons of oil plant and 40.3
thousand tons of fodder respectively.
