Parvathy balances acting, modelling and social work
Parvathy Omanakuttan, Miss World 2008 first runner-up, is currently shooting for Hindi film Pizza, a psychological thriller and a remake of the Tamil film by the same name. She plays a horror story writer. "It is great working on this film because it is in 3D, which is very different from shooting for a regular film," she says.
Besides movies, Parvathy would like to continue with modelling, essentially because she loves the ramp and also gets to travel a lot. "I also get to work with different creative minds —the young as well as the established designers," she says.

Parvathy is also passionate about is her role as the goodwill ambassador for a foundation that supports children, who are critically ill or born with congenital diseases. She also travelled to Mongolia recently to join her friend Nicole Gantagoo (Miss Mongolia, 2010) in helping women and children suffering from domestic violence. "These are life-changing experiences for me. I sometimes feel we have done very little for our country as far as these issues are concerned," says the dusky beauty who has her heart in the right place.
