Edko takes Temporary Family to FilMart

Hong Kong romantic comedy Temporary Family 失戀急讓 will make its market debut on the sales slate of Edko Films Ltd 安樂影片有限公司 at this year's Hong Kong FilMart.
Directed by former radio DJ Vincci CHEUK 卓韻芝 (previously known as her DJ name GC Goobi), who made her directorial debut last year with Kick Ass Girls 爆３俏嬌娃, the film stars Sammi CHENG 鄭秀文 and Nick CHEUNG 張家輝 as a divorcee and a property agent forced to share a luxury flat after their plan to sell it goes awry. The film, which also stars Angelababy 楊穎, is currently shooting.
Edko is also representing two high-profile Chinese projects: ZHANG Yimou 張藝謀's Coming Home 歸來, about a political prisoner who returns home after his release, and Jean-Jacques ANNAUD's Wolf Totem 狼圖騰, about a student who is sent to Inner Mongolia for re-education during the Cultural Revolution.
The company is in charge of sales to the U.S., Latin America and Asia for Wolf Totem and several Asian territories for Coming Home. France's Wild Bunch, which is also exhibiting at FilMart, represents other international rights to the two films.
Edko are also selling Ann HUI 許鞍華's biopic The Golden Era 黃金時代, Roy CHOW 周顯揚's Wong Fei-hung reboot Rise of the Legend 黃飛鴻之英雄有夢, LEE Chi-ngai 李志毅's heist comedy Horseplay 盜馬記 and SHIMIZU Takashi 清水崇's Kiki's Delivery Service 魔女の宅急便.
