New ambassadors appointed
The appointment of new ambassadors was discussed and solved at the plenary session of parliament on Thursday.
Parliament accepted the proposal to appoint the named ambassadors submitted by President Elbegdorj.
Before the appointments were made, D.Terbsihdagav, the Deputy Prime Minister made comments on proposed candidates. “The Ambassador to Russia from Mongolia should consider developing economic ties and trade. Also to focus on developing other sectors because Russia has joined the World Trade Organization. Ambassadors to the Czech Republic and Bulgaria should study European standards that have been an example for Mongolia. Ambassador to Ireland should focus on technological developments.”
The below are the newly appointed Ambassadors:
Sh.Altangerel as Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Russia with 81 percent approval
N.Tulga as Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland with 83 percent approval
Z.Altai as Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Sweden with 89.3 percent approval
N.Dugerjav as Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Republic of Bulgaria with 81.3 percent approval
D.Zumberellkham as Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Czech Republic with 87.5 percent approval
Due to the new appointments, the current ambassadors from Mongolia to the countries have been recalled:
D.Idevkhten, Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Russia
B.Altangerel, Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary from Mongolia to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
B.Enkhmandakh, Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentary from Mongolia to the Kingdom of Sweden
Ts.Gankhuyag, Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary from Mongolia to Bulgaria
S.Tsogtgerel, Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary from Mongolia to Czech Republic
