Mongolia and Hong Kong talks collaborating against crime
Prosecutor General of Mongolia D.Dorligjav is paying a working visit to Hong Kong at the invitation of Director of Public Prosecutions of the Department of Justice of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Kevin Paul Zervos. Prior the visit, the Mongolian delegates met Kevin Paul Zervos and hold bilateral talks onsigningagreements to promote mutual legal assistance and exchange experiences in related fields.
International financial center Hong Kong is has great experience of combating against transnational financial crime, particularly in the form of money laundering, corruption in public and private sectors and the crime of drug smuggling.
The counterparts emphasized that cooperation in relevant sectorsasimportant asin recent years along with Mongolia’s rapid economic growth, the consequentfinancial and drug-related crimes have also been growing.
Further, the Prosecutors of the two sides agreed that the visit by Mongolian delegation was fruitful in further implementation of exchanging necessary information, personnel for vocational training and conduct joint investigations.
Moreover, duringthe meeting the sides have exchanged information on some crimes and cases, reports Press and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia.
