The 83rd Anniversary of the Mongolian Road Sector occurred on October 26 and the officials of the road sector paid a respect to the starting point at Sukhbaatar Square.
The Minister of Road and Transportation, A.Gansukh, has granted medals for the best road officials and recognized their devotion in development of Mongolian Road Network. A new 3100 km road is ready to be built with 118.2 billion MNT allocated from the State Budget and the 141.1 billion MNT from Trade Development Bank. The Auto Road Sector budget of 2013 is still under discussion. The Ministry of Road and Transportation has submitted a draft which claimed 360 Billion MNT will be neededfor the sector next year. The Minister, A.Gansukh stated “According to the action plan of the Innovation Government, the Capital Soum of each province will be connected to Ulaanbaatar with paved roads. The Auto Road Research Center has been established at the Regular Meeting of the Government. Therefore, the center will manage the system and ensure the standard of roads, including monitoring maintenance.”
