AMBASSADOR MEETS CTBTO PREPARATORY COMMISSION'S SECRETARY

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A delegation led by J.Enkhsaikhan, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Austria, has shared views with Tibor Tyth, the Executive Secretary of the Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) on developing the bilateral relations and cooperation.


At this bilateral consultative meeting held together with the commission's officials, the Ambassador J.Enkhsaikhan passed to Mr. Tibor a letter from Mongolia's Minister of Foreign Affairs.

"Mongolia is one the first countries to join the CTBTO and has been actively participating in the commission's works. Mongolia has run some activities for propagandizing the CTBTO's importance in the region," J.Enkhsaikhan stressed, expressing a willingness to expand the collaboration with the commission. He also said Mongolia wants to take technical assistance and to prepare professionals "which are needed in measuring earth's tremor and radiation spread in air, determining ultrasound and in preventing natural disasters".

The two sides have noted that is has been necessary to widen the bilateral ties and reached an agreement to establish a mutual understanding memorandum on cooperation.
