Iran wins 2016 Asian Wrestling Championships
Another great victory for Iran wrestlers, as the freestyle team have won the title at the 2016 Asian Wrestling Championships held in Bangkok Thailand.
On the 2nd and final day of the event, Iran’s Ehsan Lashgari won the gold in the 86kg category after beating rivals from Kazakhstan, Japan, India and Mongolia.
Also on Sunday, Parviz Hadi overcame a Kazakh rival in the final to grab the gold medal in the 125kg category.
Meanwhile, Behnam Ehsanpour lost to a wrestler from Kazakhstan and settled for Silver in the 61kg category , while Mohammad Naderi won the bronze for Iran in the 70kg category.
The Iranians had already won three gold medals on Saturday. Mongolia and Kazakhstan took 2nd and 3rd places respectively.
