WORKING GROUP'S FIRST MEETING IS FRUITFUL

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Permanent consultative working group on cooperation, established between Mongolia's Foreign affairs Ministry and People's government of Chinese Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region, ran its first meeting September 20 in Hohhot of China. The Mongolian side has been led by D.Tsogtbaatar, a State secretary of the Foreign affairs Ministry and head of Mongolian side of the group, the Chinese--by Bu Shaolin, vice head of the Autonomous Region and head of China's side of the group. The sides shared views on a level of the cooperation and its tendencies and touched upon problems that occur in the ties. They gave a special importance to collaboration in the mining, especially to such issues as importing energy from Inner Mongolian Autonomous region to large projects that are planned by Mongolian side in south part of Mongolia, increasing capacity of border ports, ways of overcoming problems in trade. They also exchanged views on how to meet standards in transporting mining products, exported by Mongolia, to provide a safety of machinery and equipment and of drivers. Another important agenda of the meeting have become the matters of collaboration in culture, education, health and border checkpoints control, for instance, problems a need to refine educational documents according to international standards. The two sides signed a protocol and concluded a memorandum on “Developing free zone relations and cooperation” between Mongolia's free zones council working group and a Chamber of commerce of this Autonomous region.
