MEETING RUNS WITH BUSINESS DELEGATES OF GERMANY

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A meeting has been organized in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with business representatives of some 20 German companies engage in business and legal advice, IT, financial service, urban planning, mining, metallurgical industry. They are visiting Mongolia in a line of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology of Germany. The German representatives have received information on economic situation of Mongolia, environments for external trade and investment, opportunities for doing business, present situation of the mining sector and the biggest projects. In connection with the information, the Mongolian side has given related reports, and granted to the Germans brochures, presentation and DVDs of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI). The participants considered that the meeting has succeeded in strengthening and activating the collaboration between private sector companies. The German side delegation has been headed by Sven Ahlefelder, a senior advisor to the Federal Ministry of Germany, accompanied by Mr. Klaus Wendelberger, the Counselor to the German Ambassador to Mongolia. Present at the meeting were S.Javkhlanbaatar, deputy director of the External Trade and Economic Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Z.Battushig, deputy head of the Foreign Investment and Foreign Trade Agency; N.Algaa, an executive director of the Mongolian National Mining Association; and S.Demberel, head of the MNCCI.
