Ulaanbaatar public transportation schedule changed

In an effort to reduce traffic jams, officials in Ulaanbaatar have extended the hours that public transportation will be operated. Buses and trolleys on 56 routes will now run from 06.30 in the morning to 22.30 in the evening. This includes routes to and from such busy areas as Nalaikh, Biocombinat, and Khujirbulan. Traffic has increased with the start of a new school year. Ulaanbaatar mayor G. Munkhbayr recently ordered state and local government workers in the city to start their workdays at 08.00 in the morning instead of 09.00 to reduce traffic jams.
