STANDING COMMITTEE HEAD MEETS BULGARIAN DELEGATION
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Head of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on security and foreign policy Ya.Batsuuri MP held Tuesday a meeting with a visiting delegation led by Dimitar I. Chukarsky, a Member of Foreign Policy and Defense Committee at the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria. The sides mentioned the two countries have long-year friendly relations, and said it is important to develop the close economics ties accorded with the market conditions. “Our countries have experienced many difficulties in reaching nowadays political relations and democracy development...Our relations will be a bridge between Mongolia and the European Union,” Chukarsky noted. He said Bulgaria is ready to help Mongolia to establish connections with the EU countries, adding that the two countries may continue the traditional cooperation in economic, cultural and educational sectors. In turn, Ya.Batsuuri said Mongolia is realizing political and economic democracies since 1990. “Mongolia wants to cooperate with Third Neighbors, the European highly developed countries...We have an opportunity to collaborate in the economic sphere, especially in mining sector," he said. He underlined that developing of the Mongolia-Bulgaria inter-parliamentary ties has a big role in the bilateral relations, and hoped this visit would contribute to them. The sides raised a matter on Bulgaria's decision to close its Embassy in Mongolia. “We have now nice conditions to attract foreign investments and to intensify the development based on the biggest mineral deposits and on education of people, and many countries have opened their Embassies in Mongolia,” Batsuuri said and expressed a regret at such a decision. Then they shared views on the bilateral trade turnover and the collaboration in industrial and defense sectors. Present at the meeting were Z.Enkhbold MP and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
