S.BATBOLD: IRKUTSK WILL AUGMENT NUMBER OF MONGOLIAN STUDENTS
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister S.Batbold has met Mongolian students studying at the Medical Science University of Irkutsk during attending the Baikal Economic Forum (BEF).
At the meeting with students, S.Batbold has told them that the government of Russia decided to augment number of Mongolian students to study in Russia with scholarships, and then wished them study with great success to contribute to development for Mongolia.
For the time being, about 800 Mongolian students are studying in universities and institutes of Irkutsk Oblast. Some 70 of them are studying at the Medical University. They are concerning about the tuition fees that are being soared every year. It causes financial difficulties for those Mongolians who study with private expenses, the students said. When the governor of Irkutsk Oblast D.F.Mezentsev met with the Premier, he has pledged to increase number of Mongolian students studying in Irkutsk city and to provide Mongolians with tuition fee discount.
During the BEF, the Premier has held meeting with representatives of the Republic of Korea, France, Malaysia and China for sharing views on the bilateral relations and cooperation.
