PRIME MINISTER LEGS BORDER CHECKPOINTS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Having participated in the Baikal Economic Forum (BEF) in Irkutsk, the Prime Minister S.Batbold has got acquainted with activities of the border checkpoints in Naushki and Altanbulag. He has interested in length of time taken to check one person or motor vehicle at the checkpoint and asked the authorities questions about ways to tackle problems and difficulties. Saying that the both countries working together in updating the legal environment for border checkpoints, the Premier has underlined that customs officers must provide people with fast bureaucracy-free service. S.Batbold also reported that he agreed with the governor of Irkutsk Oblast and the president of the Russian Buryat Republic to set up a working group with the obligation to settle problems at the border checkpoints.
