PRESIDENT MEETS AMBASSADOR KIDOKORO TAKUO
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Mongolia-Japan relations achieved a big progress, said the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia Mr. Kidokoro Takuo Tuesday. Due to completion of office term Mr Takuo was received by the President Ts.Elbegdorj. Mr Takuo mentioned that the two countries agreed to boost the bilateral relations in strategic partnership principle and that a procedure to establishi economic partnership agreement has started. The 40th anniversary of the Mongolia-Japan diplomatic relations will occur next year, "and I would like the Emperor of Japan His Imperial Majesty Akihito, Japan's PM and a Speakers of Parliamentary Representative House to celebrate this date here in Mongolia," said the President. "Your diplomatic mission has completed here but I believe that You will continue participating in activities for the Mongolia-Japan relations and cooperation," the State Head said. He underlined that the two countries "ought to work out a middle-term plan and to intensify the economic cooperation in mining, mineral resources, energy, infrastructure, animal husbandry and agricultural sectors". He expressed a hope that Japan will consider the Mongolian side's request to erect a thermal power station, and wished the Ambassador big success in his works. Mr Takuo said that all his eight years' work in Mongolia were successful and effective.
