Ministry of Defense observes centennial
The Ministry of Defense has announced plans to celebrate its 100th anniversary. Officials say a three-volume history of the ministry, including biographies of past defense ministers, will be published. There will also be a documentary about the ministry.
An “Army Naadam” will be held in Khui Doloon Khudag on September 9 to mark the anniversary. Officials from China, Russia, Germany, South Korea, India, Ukraine and Switzerland will attend the festivities.
The ministry will also organize military training exercises in Khuvsgul, Umnugobi and Dundgobi aimags, with parachutists from India taking part. Anniversary observations will continue through December.
