M. Ganbold appointed as Deputy Chief of the ACA
President Ts. Elbegdorj has appointed Major-General M. Ganbold as Deputy Chief of the Anti-Corruption Authority. The position has been vacant since last April, when the previous head of the ACA, Ch. Sangaragchaa and Deputy Head of the ACA, D.Sunduisuren were sentenced to more than two years in jail for revealing secrets and violating his executive authority.
M. Ganbold has been the General Secretary of the National Security Council. Before that M. Ganbold was the Chief of the Police Department. Officials say the Government will discuss a major restructuring of the ACA in the autumn session of Parliament.
