GROUP SET UP ON EDUCATION FOR DEMOCRACY AT INITIATIVE OF ELBEGDORJ

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ At the 66th session of the UN General Assembly, the President Ts.Elbegdorj announced Wednesday he launched a group of state leaders' initiative on education for democracy in frames of the Community of Democracies (CD). This initiative has joined the Presidents of Finland, Nigeria, Romania, and the Prime Minister of Luxembourg. The State leaders have urged the CD to educate their people, especially young generations so that they recognize values and principles of the democracy. They have expressed a wish to run within the CD an effective collaboration with the UN, the UNESCO and other specialized international organizations, and underlined an importance of attaching a supreme significance to the education for democracy at national, regional and international levels.
