Government to increase spending
Due to higher than expected revenue, the Government discussed revising the 2011 budget at Friday’s meeting. The original budget calls for MNT 627.7 billion to be spent on investment and on implementing projects. According to a draft budget amendment discussed at the meeting, MNT 892.2 billion would go toward investment, while MNT 264.7 would be allocated for implementing projects.
Government revenue is higher than expected because of rising coal and copper prices.
