Confereration of Trade Unions requested to triple the wages
Yesterday, Confederation of Trade Unions requested to triple the minimum wage. The request was sent to the Government officials and employers. The minimum wage was raised to MNT 140400 per month in last April and other social benefits were raised by some amount but the rate of inflation is high and the wage is not up to demanded standard in today’s society said S.Ganbaatar, President of the Confederation of Trade Unions. S.Ganbaatar also said that according to the National Statistics Committee, the rate of inflation is 10.1 compared to last October but average wage increase is nowhere near this statistics. According to this data, the purchasing power of the people has decreased by significant amount and that is why the Confederation of Trade Unions have requested to increase the wage again.
