AMBASSADOR OF GERMANY PRESENTS DIPLOMATIC CREDENTIALS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ On Wednesday, September 7, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany Mr. Peter Schaller presented his letter of credence to the President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj. At the meeting held after the presentation ceremony, the President highlighted Germany is one of the biggest partners in Europe and expressed a satisfaction with a successful development of the comprehensive partnership relations between the countries. "FRG rendered various assistance to Mongolia in support of its reform and democratic transformations" Ts.Elbegdorj stressed, hoping the new Ambassador would contribute to widening the bilateral relations. The State Head mentioned about an opportunity to develop the bilateral collaboration in the mining and infrastructure spheres and continuing the education cooperation. He has put forward his proposal to found a Mongolia-Germany joint university as well. Ts.Elbegdorj said he intends to discuss the above matter during a visit of the FRG Chancellor Angela Merkel to be paid to Mongolia.
